Hey analog friends,
For a while now, my analog space has lived under the name Rediscover Analog. That name made sense when I was first returning to paper, film, and slower ways of creating. It captured the feeling of going back to something I thought I'd forgotten.
Now, I'm not just returning to analog anymore. I'm choosing it and have incorporated it with my mindfulness journey.
From now on, this project, this platform, this space will be called Analog From Here.
What Analog From Here means
It's a name about intention - choosing analog tools that work for you in our digital world. Simple, clear, and it captures what this space is actually about.
Except for the name and domains, everything stays the same
Focus on analog hobbies
Weekly newsletters and articles rotating between pens, film, and vinyl
Product reviews and recommendations
Over the weekend, I’ve migrated to the new domain https://analogfromhere.com then social media will come next – and so will the announcement over there. Since you’re subscribed to the newsletter, you’re hearing it first!
The website and Substack will redirect automatically. Your email subscription doesn't change.
Why now?
Honestly, I've been thinking about this for months. In hindsight, I should have figured out the rebranding before I restarted my recurring newsletters. But it really took me some time to get to finalize things and I didn't want it to hinder me from creating content.
It’s difficult to say goodbye to the brand I’ve stuck with for 5 years but I really wanted a brand name that was easier to recall (and of course, available). I've combed through different names. The first few ones are either taken (sucks, they were pretty clever) or too generic. After some thought, I landed with "Analog From Here" as it didn’t stray too far from Rediscover Analog.
I also figured that it would be best to start and send this out right after I sent the May monthly newsletter.
More quality content on the way, I promise so thanks for sticking around through the name change. Whether you've been here since the beginning or just subscribed yesterday, you're part of what makes this community work.
See you next week,
Jestine
